Fink’s Cafe

Fink’s Cafe was a local eatery established by Otta Fink and his wife in 1948. Fink’s Cafe relocated to 116 N 5th Street in 1948 from across the street at 123 N 5th Street in 1956. The new location more than doubled the seating capacity, from 65 to 130, and offered 24-hour operation. Their sons Otto Junior and Robert Fink took ownership in 1950.

It later sold to Joe Senger in 1972 who converted it into Red Carpet Lounge, which the Finks also had some interest in. It operated briefly as Bush Garden’s before Blackstone bar in 1982, named for a previous establishment located in the building before Fink’s. The business burned in July 1985 but the building was mostly spared and still stands today.

The Finks also operated Light House Cafe, the Corral Drive-in Theatre, and Patrick’s Pancake House.
