Brand-New St. Mary’s Central High School To Be Constructed

St. Mary's Central High School Expansion Plan

A brand new campus housing St. Mary’s Central High School is coming soon to north Bismarck.

The new facility will be built on a 46-acre track of land donated by the family of Ron Knutson, a local developer. It will be constructed near 57th Avenue and Washington Street – just north of the new Liberty Elementary School.

Construction timeline and funding details have yet to be finalized.

The current building, located directly across from Arrowhead Plaza at the corner of 2nd Street & Boulevard Avenue, opened in 1952. It will continue to serve the Light of Christ School District, primarily as a middle school.

The additional space will accommodate the district’s growing student population. According to their press release, enrollment has increased by 20% and is expected to increase another 20% in the upcoming five years.
