Rosa Young Park

Rosa Young Park is a municipal park located immediately north of where Rosser Avenue merges with East Main Avenue.

The park was dedicated on June 22, 1962. Until 1981, it contained a former U.S. Navy F9F Panther aircraft. The Navy requested its removal due to its poor condition, declaring it a safety hazard.

It was named for a former park board member who passed away shortly before the park’s dedication.
