Plaza Tower is a six-story 54-unit condominium located at 1111 North 1st Street just west of Arrowhead Plaza. Construction commenced in April 1973 for an estimated $2.5 million, Plaza Tower opened for occupancy in 1974 featuring such luxury amenities as heated parking garage, sauna, two elevators, central air conditioning, indoor golf-driving range, fitness center, and multiple community rooms. It was one of the first condominium-style multi-unit housing units located in Bismarck.
Plans for a second tower northeast of the original never materialized.
Note: Some sources state Plaza Tower had 53 units upon opening. It had 53 units for sale, plus an onsite resident manager’s unit making the total 54 units.
