Bismarck Ranked #1 Thriving State Capital

A survey conducted by SelfStorage.com has ranked Bismarck as the nation’s top thriving state capital. According to the article, Bismarck earned its distinction from a combination of factors, including the highest per-capita income growth (3.2%) and second-highest drop in the poverty rate (to 2.8%) among all state capitals. Bismarck was also recognized with the nation’s lowest unemployment rate.

Fellow oil-rich state Alaska’s capital, Juneau, earned the list’s second position followed by Frankfort, Kentucky to finish the top three. Nearby Helena, Montana earned fourth.
