Local ski area Huff Hills has opened for the season, a bit earlier than usual. In fact, according to Mandan News it was the earliest that Huff Hills has ever opened in its 22-year existence.
Colder -than-average temperatures of late helped to contribute to the earlier opening.
Opened in 1992, Huff Hills is located just south of Mandan.
