East Junior High

East Junior High was the designation given in 1958 to the junior high school that stood immediately south of Bismarck High School.

The schoolhouse was built in 1912 as Bismarck’s first dedicated high school and was repurposed into a junior high upon completing the current high school in 1935. Originally having no distinct name, the opening of Hughes Junior High necessitated a designation. Simle Junior High replaced it in 1962, and the school was demolished that year.
