{"id":53839,"date":"2014-03-28T15:36:34","date_gmt":"2014-03-28T20:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/?p=53839"},"modified":"2017-04-17T09:23:12","modified_gmt":"2017-04-17T14:23:12","slug":"east-40-restaurant-under-new-ownership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/53839\/east-40-restaurant-under-new-ownership","title":{"rendered":"East 40 Restaurant Under New Ownership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long-time Bismarck restaurant East 40 Food &amp; Drink is under new ownership.\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The vintage-themed restaurant was recently acquired by local businessman Dale Zimmerman, who has owned downtown&#8217;s Peacock Alley <a title=\"Peacock Alley Bar &amp; Grill Under New Ownership\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/3500\/peacock-alley-bar-grill-under-new-ownership\">since 2010<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">East 40 is an upscale restaurant and bar boasting a historic decor with numerous antiques, thereby\u00a0sharing a common target customer base and similar historic atmosphere to its new sister restaurant, Peacock Alley.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>East 40 was founded in 1975 by Ed and Joan Conlin, of <a title=\"Conlin\u2019s Furniture\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/wiki\/conlins-furniture\">Conlin&#8217;s Furniture<\/a>.
