The purchase was expected to be finalized Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The non-profit group Streamline, who financed the center&#8217;s construction, \u00a0currently owns the facility and has been leasing it to the Parks department for $700,000 per year.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst controversy, the Aquatic Center was built on land donated by <a title=\"Bismarck State College\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/wiki\/bismarck-state-college\">Bismarck State College<\/a>\u00a0at an estimated\u00a0cost of $9.4 million.
