More than 100 Sears and Kmart stores are among the latest round of closures:\u00a064 Kmart stores and 39 Sears.<\/p>\n<p>The store is projected to close in early April. Its auto center <a href=\"http:\/\/bismarcktribune.com\/news\/columnists\/jessica-holdman\/sears-to-close-auto-center\/article_83b8d9d2-d094-5f74-a66a-cd182294be93.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously closed last year<\/a>. It will leave Grand Forks with the only full-line Sears store in the state. Sears stores in Minot and Fargo closed just last year.<\/p>\n<p>Sears first came to Bismarck in 1946, replacing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/wiki\/webb-brothers-department-store\">Webb Brothers<\/a>\u00a0on the 300 block of East Main (now Zimmerman&#8217;s Furniture). Webb Brothers\u00a0shuttered in December 1945. Sears was established as an original anchor tenant when Gateway Mall opened in 1979.
