{"id":125195,"date":"2015-10-15T08:23:03","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T13:23:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/?p=125195"},"modified":"2017-04-17T09:21:09","modified_gmt":"2017-04-17T14:21:09","slug":"bearscat-bakehouse-mandan-location-opening-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/125195\/bearscat-bakehouse-mandan-location-opening-november","title":{"rendered":"Bearscat Bakehouse Mandan Location Opening November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/85416\/bearscat-bakehouse-plans-mandan-location\">originally reported last September<\/a>, Bearscat Bakehouse &#8211; formerly The Donut Hole &#8211; is expanding to Mandan. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kxnet.com\/story\/30263324\/bearscat-bakehouse-to-open-mandan-location\" target=\"_blank\">According to KX News<\/a>, the Mandan store will be located at the corner of <a href=\"#map\" target=\"_blank\">5th Ave NE and 1st Street NE<\/a>\u00a0and expects to open November.<\/p>\n<p>Baking will be done at the existing Bismarck\u00a0store and trucked to Mandan.<\/p>\n<p>Last September, it was announced that Bearscat Bakehouse had applied for $150,000 in\u00a0Chase Mission Main Street Grants to aid in its effort to open a Mandan store.<\/p>\n<p>Bearscat&#8217;s opening will fulfill a void left after the closure of long-time local bakery <a title=\"George\u2019s Bakery\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/wiki\/georges-bakery\">George&#8217;s Bakery<\/a>, which closed in 2006 after 59 years (44 years as George&#8217;s).<\/p>\n<p>Bearscate Bakehouse was born\u00a0in 2012 when local resident\u00a0Kevin Cavanagh <a title=\"Donut Hole To Become Bearscat Bakehouse\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarckcafe.com\/blogs\/6730\/donut-hole-to-become-bearscat-bakehouse\" target=\"_blank\">purchased the existing The Donut Hole<\/a>, which was established\u00a0by Dickinson-based Bakery Boy\u00a0in 1980.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As originally reported last September, Bearscat Bakehouse &#8211; formerly The Donut Hole &#8211; is expanding to Mandan.
