Group A crimes, deemed the most serious offenses, <em>increased by 4.5%<\/em> overall in 2014. Group B crimes, which includes\u00a0misdemeanors and miscellaneous offenses, actually <em>decreased\u00a03.5%<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Fridays and Saturdays\u00a0topped the week for offenses, with Mondays coming in\u00a0lowest.<\/p>\n<h3>Overall Crime Statistics<\/h3>\n<p>In the &#8220;Crimes Against Persons&#8221; category, overall crime <em>declined 10.87%<\/em> from 2013, according to the report.\u00a0Kidnapping, Forcible Rape, and such crimes as Forcible Fondling and Statutory Rape saw\u00a0increases, whereas Simple Assault and Aggravated Assault\u00a0saw decreases. Crimes Against Persons offenses are 12.93% below the five-year average.<\/p>\n<p>Offenses<em>\u00a0increased 8.45%<\/em> overall in the &#8220;Crimes Against Property&#8221; category. Only Arson, Burglary, Robbery, and Gambling-Related offenses saw decreases in the category.\u00a0Crimes Against Property offenses are 10.85%\u00a0above\u00a0the five-year average. Drug violations increased by\u00a013.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Crime in other groups mostly decreased in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Adult Arrests <em>increased 2.51%<\/em> in 2014, above the five-year average. On the other hand, Juvenile citations <em>decreased 21.83%<\/em> in 2014 to below the five-year average.<\/p>\n<h3>Traffic &amp; Parking<\/h3>\n<p>Parking citations saw a dramatic spike in 2014, <em>increasing 92.3%<\/em>. Traffic citations <em>decreased 4.68%<\/em>. Traffic crashes also decreased in 2014, with\u00a0Tuesdays seeing the highest number of crashes and Sundays the lowest.
