Montana Mike’s Steakhouse Closing; Employee Shortage Blamed

Another local restaurant is shutting up shop reportedly due to an employee shortage.

Montana Mike’s, located inside the Seven Seas Hotel, will be closing this week. According to an interview with KFYR-TV, the closure is due to a long-time employee shortage, citing as little as 30 current employees for what should be an 80-employee operation.

Montana Mike’s opened its Mandan location in 2010, replacing Captain’s Table.

This is not the first local business to suffer due to an employee shortage. The Broadway Dairy Queen also recently cited “no workforce” for the cause of its earlier-than-usual closure for the season.
